We are delighted that on 10^th January 2024, The City of Edinburgh Council have given their approval for Phase 2 of the redevelopment of Ocean Terminal which marks a huge milestone in the journey towards the re-imagining of OT, creating a residential-led urban environment which allows for a sustainable future for the centre integrated into a wider community.

Following consent for Phase 1 which consisted of part-demolition and reconfiguration of the existing centre, Phase 2 approval allows for delivery of the full Masterplan with the provision of a pedestrian-centred waterfront, new mixed-use community amenities comprising residential, retail and commercial spaces, and high-quality public realm spaces.

We look forward to a year of significant changes and new beginnings at the centre, creating a re-imagined community-centric space followed by the introduction of a new neighbourhood adjacent.

As you may be aware, works to make way and allow for the part-demolition of the multi-storey car park and former Debenhams retail unit commenced in 2023 and will continue in 2024, with the centre remaining open throughout.
