During the school half-term, Leith churches worked together to provide simple, fun activities for 5-12 year-olds, with an autumn/harvest theme, in the Community Space.
The Craft Corner was a free event and everyone was welcome.
This was organised by Jennifer Stark, the Chaplain to Ocean Terminal. Sponsored by a number of churches working together in Leith, she is a firm believer that churches should be where the people are – and that very much includes shopping centres.
As she says,
‘One thing I realised about Ocean Terminal, is that it has a strong community feel - people keeping an eye on each other, or supporting each other's charity events. And I love the variety of the people here - I've had some amazing conversations, about families, work, interests and passions.I am here for all staff and visitors.’
Look out for our Community Craft Corner in the October holiday week. (15th -18th October.)
Jennifer is in Ocean Terminal 9.30-12.30 Tuesday and Thursday and at other times where possible. She can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org, on 07528 578042, or via the Reception Desk
