The Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2016
Ocean Terminal is pleased to announce the opening of "The Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year - Collection 2" exhibition, a collection of stunning images from the winners of Scotland's national outdoor photography competition, on 16th July 2016. This is the 2nd year of this major exhibition and the first to be held in Ocean Terminal. The exhibition features a breathtaking array of diverse images of Scotland’s scenery, from the rolling hills of the borders to the rugged mountains of the highlands and everything in between. As well as images from the overall winners, the exhibition features images of the landscape, seascape, the urbanscape as well as images from the youth photographers who took part.
The Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year competition is the brainchild of Scottish landscape photographer Stuart Low, who set it up to showcase the best of Scotland’s stunning scenery whilst raising the profiles of the new generation of talented photographers that capture Scotland’s amazing views through their lenses. Photographers from the UK and overseas took part in the competition and in addition to raising profiles, the exhibition aims to provide inspiration for other photographers as well as promoting tourism and raising awareness of conservation.
The exhibition is sponsored and supported by HiTech Formatt, AcademyClass, Fotospeed, The John Muir Trust, Historic Scotland, Scottish Natural Heritage, Caledonian MacBrayne, Calumet Photographic and RSPB Scotland.
The exhibition runs until 31st August 2016 and is in association with the Image Collective.
