Back in March we brought you a very handy four-part guide to spring summer trends. So, we’re back now with another very hand four-part guide, this time our A-Z autumn winter trends. Fashion is great, but a bit confusing, and we don’t want to be wearing the wrong thing do we?
So, here’s the second part of our handy A-Z autumn winter trends guide, covering H-M. We’ll be back in two weeks with the last two parts.
H is for Hairy
No, not you, your clothes! Brushed jumpers, mohair, hairy coats, hairy scarves – you name it, if it’s hairy, wear it! This fab pink hairy coat from Debenhams fits the bill – and works the winter pastels trend too!
Coat, £89, Red Herring @ Debenhams
I is for Inky Black
Other colours have their day, but black is always going to be fashion’s favourite and can proudly sit in this year’s A-Z autumn winter trends countdown. Inky Black in particular -that deep, dark, richest of all blacks. Add texture to your black for more depth.
J is for Jewels
Big costume jewellery is happening this autumn winter – anything goes. But earrings in particular are having a moment. Mix up the colours, just wear them big!
Earrings, from £6.99, from H&M, necklace, H&M
K is for Knitwear – Oversized
Yep, not just any old knitwear, nope, the bigger that jumper the better! This season it’s all about sloucjy, oversize knits. Think a bit of 1980s vibe. This New Look juper is perfect – big, oversized, 80s pattern and grey. So on trend!
Jumper, £24.99, New Look
L is for Length
If it;s long, wear it. Maxi dresses, maxi skirts, maxi coats. Length is important this winter. Think 1970s evening gowns, like Margot from The Good Life. Think huge, oversized coats, sweeping the floor. Skirts that trail behind you. Loads of fabric, floating everywhere. Length is well, huge, this season.
Floral maxi dress, £80 RJR. John Rocha @ Debenhams
M is for Monochrome
Influence by the big 1960s trend for this autumn winter – more on that next week – monochrome black and white is a trend of its own. Also looks great in check – another big trend for this season.
Check tartan leggings, £12.99, New Look
