Yellow for a Princess

So, the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her second child at the weekend – a little girl. But, although she wore blue for the birth of her baby boy Prince George 22 months ago, when she appeared with her new daughter this weekend, she chose yellow.

Jenny Packham once again designed the bespoke gown for Kate, and it was a very pretty floral shift. So, yellow for a princess it is. Fancy a yellow floral frock this spring? Why wouldn’t you? Yellow is the perfect spring colour to brighten the mood. Here are a few of our favourite yellow floral dresses in the centre at the moment.

Yellow is the backdrop to lovely monochrome florals in H&M’s wide printed dress (£39.99), whilst Preen’s Edition pastel floral at Debenhams (£75) is a gorgeous butterfly and floral print.
