Summer Trends

It’s June, it’s officially summer, time to get some new pieces in that wardrobe. But what are the top summer trends? What should you be wearing. Okay, we’ll tell you. We’ve picked out six of the top, TOP summer trends. The summer trends you can’t be without – the summer trends you really need to be wearing/packing/enjoying this summer.

Let’s start with a simple one – white. Although white is a perennial summer trend, it is actually one of the top trends this summer. It’s so versatile – very pretty, or uber-chic and slick – depends on how you wear it. A simple tee and shorts is impactful in white. A maxi dress is holiday-tastic, and a simple shirt dress is super chic for the city in the summer.

Next up, the opposite of white – brights. Think neon, and predominently orange, pink and yellow. Mix up your brights. The best way to embrace the boldest of summer trends it to clash your colours. Be bold with a pink dress, and clashing orange shoes. Add bright yellow to your wardrobe – it’s fun!

What’s not to love about white culottes? Okay, don’t drink red wine when wearing them, but, hey, a white wine spritzer is surely a more sophisticated summer tipple anyway, no?

So, where can you get your hands on these fashion beauties? Well, here are three pairs from the centre stores that we reckon are Palermo-worthy – and all at different price points.

First up, if you have £75 to spare then splash out on French Connection’s beautifully tailored white culottes. Perfect with a bold top, or a white top – great for a summer wedding, an evening event or just for slouching around town with a denim jacket thrown on.

French Connection white culottesDebenhams’ Red Herring white culottes have a bit of tailoring and texture to them. Slightly shorter than the French Connection pair, these are a summer staple, at £32.

Finally, over at H&M, we have a sort of off white, pale beige pair of culottes in a more laid-back style, perfect with a vest top, some wedge heels, and an attitude. They’re £29.99.
