Princess Style tips

Did you follow the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s visit to India in the last few weeks? We were all eyes on the Duchess,  to see exactly what she was wearing. We were impressed by Kate’s wardrobe – a mix of designer and high street, and a very mixed bag of trends.

We’ve picked out a few keye trends Kate kept to – and set  – on her Indian trip.

She clearly loves red and blue – very patriotic shades – and wore them a few times in various ways. Her Beulah red maxi dress was bright and bold, her Jenny Packham cobalt blue evening gown was rich and stunning.

Copy her style with red and blue in maxi form this spring.

Kate also demonstrated that separates are as elegant and can be as formal as a gown. She chose a gorgeous Alexander McQueen red peplum top and skirt combo, as well as a beautiful monochrome Alice Temperley top and skirt two-piece.

Ape Kate’s style and love for the two piece at any occasion this summer with these lovely duos – from shorts and a top to a skirt and top, to floaty trousers and a top – they’re all perfect summer winners. Perfect Princess style!

Kate’s stunning cream midi Emilia Wickstead dress was simply, well, stunning. For a similar, but more laid-back, simple summer style, but still Princess style, choose a crisp, white or cream shirt dress.

Kate dipped into the boho trend for this season with a few lovely pieces – one of them a bespoke dress made by Mumbai-born deisgner, Anita Dongre. Cool, elegant, and free-spirited, you can get this Princess style with printed smock dresses and gorgeous cool cotton kaftans.
