Limited Edition Farewell

All good things must end, so they say, and it is with sadness that we bid farewell to the Limited Edition store in Ocean Terminal.

Farewell to the 22 brilliant Scottish designers and brands who showcased their collections and designs in the pop-up shop, which was a collaboration between Ocean Terminal, and Scotland Re:Designed, who focus on promoting and supporting new fashion talent in our country.

For more about Scotland Re:Designed and what they do, visit their website. All of the 22 designers can be found on the internet as well, and if you haven’t been to the shop yet, why not?!

Get down there for the last two days this Friday and Saturday, get to know all the designers, and snap up some bargains for the last two days of trading.

Strathberry of Scotland, were a latecomer to the store, but before they say farwell, they are offering an amazing 70% off a lot of their stock. And that stock is gorgeous. This luxury handbags and accessories brand  make stunning leather and frabric goods, using the best of Scottish materials.

Euan McWhirter’s Lucky Bitches ring, a favourite of Kylie Minogue and Shirley Manson, is stunning, and you can get our hands on one, with a massive 30% discount this weekend – taking it from £95 to £66.50.

One of my favourite brands I’ve discovered through the Limited Edition store is Rhodesian of Edinburgh, who make the most brilliant satchels, or fatchels. I love them. Go check them out for the last few days.

More discounts are available on another fave of mine, We Are Rushworth – a borders brand who create beautiful knitted goods, and brilliant, fun t-shirts for kids and adults. They have brilliant offers on T-shirts for the last two days – £3 for kids, £6 for adults.

Scottish Designers Limited Edition – Weekly Wishlist

This week’s Weekly Wishlist is made up of fabulous pieces from brilliant Scottish designers all available now in the Limited Edition store in Ocean Terminal.

The Limited Edition store is a three month pop-up (it’s there until January 31), in collaboration with design collective, Scotland Re:Designed, and is giving 21 Scottish designers and brands the chance to showcase their products. Homeware, fashion, accessories and jewellery are all available.

We’ve just picked out ten fabulous products for our weekly wishlist from the Scottish designers, but there are loads more in the store, so get in and have a browse!

Euan McWhirter’s Lucky Bitches handcut glass ring (£95) has been seen on the fingers of Shirley Manson and Kylie Minogue no less – we’ll have one thanks! We love the green version, and we’re also coveting the Willow satchel – or Fatchel (they’re fat satchels!), from Rhodesian of Edinburgh (from £135), in a bold green. Perfectly autumnal. Talking of autumn, we couldn’t resist the Hibernation print silk scarf from Helen Ruth Scarves (£145), full of gorgeous hedgehogs and snails, and other little critters! There are more animals around at Iona Crawford in her lovely lampshades (£125) – this is Lexi, the Highland cow!

Weekly Wishlist Limited Edition Scottish designersAbetwix make great T-shirts (£20) featuring handdrawn designs, a lot of them also featuring gorgeous creatures, like leopards and stags and owls, and more.

Kirsteen Stewart’s canvas shopper with leather handles (£55), from her Journeys collection, inspired by the spots of light you see as you are coming into land at Edinburgh airport is a big favourite of ours – its kind of festive too, don’t you think? Danielle Rattray’s modern take on tartan in her scarves collection is fab – we particularly like this grid silk scarf (£140). Glasgow-based G69 are another of the Scottish designers who love a bit of tartan – and we love this two stripe tartan trim t-shirt (£40).

Winter means jumpers, and we are loving the Quiggleys jumpers in the Limited Edition store. Who knew there were so many talented Scottish designers out there. We’d choose the Clunie dark stripe sweater (£130), which is for guys really, but we reckon girls would love it just as much. Finally, sometimes we need a bit of a fresh lift in the winter, and we think the gorgeous Citrus Rush three wick candle (£25) from The Isle of Skye Candle Company would provide! A lovely mix of lime, orange, and a hint of lemongrass. And if that’s not your thing, there are loads more in store to choose from!
