Yay! It’s the sales! Or is that a nay, I hear? Sales shopping can be torture. Sales style is not easy to find sometimes. All of us have made awful sales buys in the past, admit it.
I am still struggling to understand, around 15 years later, why I wasted £15 of my hard-earned cash on a bright pink marabou trimmed jumper….
Anyway, if you want sales style, then you are in the right place! We’ve scanned the stores, and picked a few items we believe will give you excellent sales style! Sometimes it’s not the size of the bargain, but what the item means to you. So, even if there is only a tenner off, if you love it, it’s a bargain, agreed?
So, here are our sales style picks – and our reasons for choosing them, of course! Let’s start with this gorgeous French Connection wool coat. Was £225, is now £157.50. A wool coat is a great sales bargain. This might be a bit out there in a pastel blue, but you are going to need a coat in Scotland until at least May, right? And the nearer spring we get, the better pastels are. Perfect!
Next up, an LBD. There is no harm in adding another little black dress to your wardrobe. This midi length Jonathan Saunders Edition @ Debenhams number is very versatile, and won’t go out of style this year at least! A zebra skirt may seem like a foolish sales buy, but it’s not, trust us! This skirt from JOY is a great buy. Bold prints look great with zingy spring colours and pastels. And animal prints never go out of style.
Boots are always a good investment in the January (December!) sales – you will get loads more wear out of them in this country. White Stuff’s gorgeous fur lined wedge ankle boots look great with skirts and trousers. Finally, Crew Clothing’s sparkly grey cable sweater will see you right through to spring with a bit of winter sparkle!
A onesie in the winter at half-price is always a sales bargain, yes? New Look has a few on sale for as low as £7! Looking forward to spring again, a jumpsuit reduced from £35 to £19.50 is a great sales style buy at BHS. Jumpsuits look here to stay and this wide-legged one is definitely on-trend for 2015.
GAP’s gorgeous tan leather handbag isn’t bargain of the century, but it is a quality item, at a reduced price, and it is a functional, versatile, useable piece you will never regret buying. Same goes for these glittery Converse at Schuh – Converse are a timeless classic – the glitter adds a fun touch. Finally, we adore this jersey backed sequin slouchy jacket from H&M. Perfect to take you through winter and into the first few cold months of spring on nights out. Sequins are not just for the festive season. Wear this and bring Christmas sparkle to everyone any time of the year!
Happy Sales Style Shopping!
