Pumpkin Orange Weekly Wishlist

It’s Hallowe’en next week and these days that seems to mean pumpkin orange. In Scotland we used to carve turnip, or tumshie, lanterns, and decorate them.

But this one Americanism I don’t mind (though I still want guisers at my door, not Trick or Treaters, okay?!), as it is FAR easier to carve a pumpkin than a turnip! And so pumpkin orange is now as Hallowe’en as witches and black cats.

And that’s good, because pumpkin orange is actually a great colour to wear in autumn. it’s cosy, bright, bold and makes me feel warm. So, this week’s weekly wishlist is made up of all the pumpkin orange things I love this week -and something Hallowe’en of course!

Let’s start with a big boyfriend coat, this one from Red Herring @ Debenhams (£65) is a great shade or orange. I’m not sure I would be getting far in the orange and black Privilege platform sandals @ Schuh (£75). Wow. These are high. And awkward looking, don’t you think? But I love them for their sheer bonkers-ness.

This bright orange leather tote from GAP is reduced from £109.95 to £69.99 which is a great deal. A bright bold bag will waken up any outfit.

weekly wishlist halloween pumpkin orangeA cosy pumpkin orange jumper will see you through Hallowe’en to Bonfire night! Choose a fine knit (£14.99) at H&M, or at the same shop, go for a fluffier, turtle-neck (£29.99). I couldn’t resist the foxy little H! by Henry Holland hat from Debenhams (£16), childish and fun! JOY’s neat orange dress (£55) will look great with thick black tights, chunky boots and an oversize cardigan.

French Connection’s pleated burnt orange top (£35?) is flattering over your tummy area, and will look fab with dark jeans. Finally, slick on some bold orange New Look nail polish (£2.99), and if you’re very good attempt some nail art on top – contrasting black pumpkin designs perhaps? Oh yeah, and BHS has Hallowe’en pumpkin deely boppers for £4. What’s not to love?!

Pineapple is not the only fruit – Weekly Wishlist

We all love fashion, and we all love a wishlist – so here’s a weekly wishlist with a few of our favourite fashion picks. We’ll be doing this for the next few weeks, so make sure you pop in each week if you want to see what’s on our summer weekly wishlist.

This week we’re going for a fruity theme.(I was on one of those juice diets last week – I’ve got fruit on the brain!) Orange Is The New Black is the TV show on everyone’s lips just not, but pineapple is the fruit on everyone’s, well, everything at the moment! But pineapple is NOT the only fruit fashion fans!

PIneapples are EVERYWHERE this summer. We are all wearing them (try eating them too, they’re delicious!) all over our clothes, jewellery and accessories. BUT, fashion fans, the pineapple is not the only fruit. Look at the cute set of four pairs of stud earrings from H&M (£2.99) – watermelon, orange, cherry AND pineapple. We can’t escape from it  though – and why would we when it looks so good on this gorgeous dress from JOY? (£49)

pineapple trend twoAnd who is that cheeky chappy on the iPhone 5 cover from Claire’s Accessories (£8)? Yep, it’s Mr Pineapple! But we are also loving this watermelon slice clutch (£9.99) from New Look, and these brilliant cherry print shoes (£20.65, were £29.50) from Red Herring @ Debenhams?

But there’s no escaping the pineapple for long. Here it is in a cute fruity little necklace from JOY (£10). Oh, yeah, and this sort of washed-out, slouchy tee from New Look (£12.99) is at the top of this week’s weekly wishlist.

pineapple trendNew Look’s lemon slice clutch has a lot of love on social media, and from celebrities – and no wonder, it’s fashion fun at its very best. And it’s just £9.99. Make a fruit cocktail by adding H&M‘s cherry keyring to it! Finally, it’s one of the UK’s favourite fruits, the good old sweet strawberry, in these little studs from JOY (£6).
