Guys, it’s time to think about summer, and that all-important wardrobe addition – swimwear. Leave the speedos behind, do not go anywhere near Bobby from TOWIE-style swimming socks, and keep your dignity intact! Your swimwear can still be fun, without being obscene or ridiculous!
We’ve rounded up 13 of our favourites from the centre, for your perusal. Let’s start with a bit of a novelty factor with BHS’s magic swim shorts (£9.60). The ‘magic’ is that when you go in the water, your plain shorts become patterned shorts! There are four colours/patterns – we love the grey pair – sharks appear when you get them wet.
If you want full-on pattern, then H&M’s flamingo print swimwear (£14.99) will make a statement on the beach. JOY’s jellyfish print shorts (£25) are the only place you want to see these beach nasties, right? If the tentacled sea creature is too much, then JOY have a more subtle paisley print swimwear option (£30).
Palm or fern prints are great – GAP’s blue print swim shorts (£17.47) are subtly tropical, whilst the shorter blue and red print on black are a brighter, bolder option (£17.47).
Stripes are a good look for swimwear. H&M’s bold three stripe shorts (£19.99), or French Connection’s short multi-striped swimwear (£50), different on left and right? Maybe New Look’s grey and white vertical stripes (£14.99) are more your swimwear style? Or Maine @ Debenhams classic red white and blue striped longer shorts (£25).
If all of this is too much, and you just want block colour, then French Connection’s classic retro navy shorts with red ‘F’ logo (£50), or New Look’s bold bright red shorts (£7.99) are perfect. If you want brighter, then H&M’s sunshine yellow shorts (£7.99) are the ones for your suitcase this summer!
