Graphic prints – Weekly Wishlist

There’s a graphic prints trend coming this autumn/winter, so brace yourself, and be ready to adopt them.

Don’t be too scared – they’re not all huge, bright, bold 1960s style graphic prints. But there are some like that. This trend is probably one that will fly mostly under the radar, and you should be selective with your prints – don’t just bung on any old printed thing.

To help you decipher the graphic prints trend early in the season, we’ve chose it as our Weekly Wishlist, because we are here to help!

So, start, perhaps with a lovely geometric print dress (£45, JOY) in an acidic bright. Ora bright, bold psychedelic style print in berries and reds like the super shift from Principles @ Debenhams (£35).

Also at Principles, there’s a block patchwork graphic prints style sweater (£35). New Look’s suede-look 1970s style patchwork skirt isn’t strictly a graphic print, but this patchwork look is one to embrace this season.

Weekly Wishlist graphic printsBHS’s long-line midi skirt (£25) has a geometric graphic feel to it. H&M’s tube skirt (£7.99) has a linear graphic design. Betty Jackson Black’s monochrome graphic prints coat (£75) is a winter musthave from Debenhams. Bring the 80s back with this fantastic coat!

Another 80s classic, and a fashion classic, and essentially could be classed as a graphic print is dogtooth check. We love French Connection’s red and black check and dogtooth check sweater (£80).

H&M’s triangular graphic prints dress (£12.99) is a cute late summer to autumn transitional piece – just add leggings when it’s cold. Graphic prints look great on shift dresses. New Look’s blue based shift (£29.99) has a great design, and Principles @ Debenhams’ pink and black print dress (£50) has a great Art Deco vibe to it.

Finally, French Connection’s bright abstract digital graphic prints trousers (£80) will brighten up any autumn day.

Colour block, graphic prints – Weekly Wishlist

Here’s a thing – how to colour block. What does that even mean? Wearing the same colour all over? Nope. Wearing blocks of different colours? Yes! What about graphic prints? Or geometric prints? Both are similar. Both look great in bold colours, or monochromes.

So, that’s ourweekly wishlist this week; the best of colour block and graphic prints!

Colour blocking with stripes is popular – try BHS’s black, white and grey tunic (£10, was £25) for a subtle look, or be a bit bolder with New Look’s blanket wrap is autumnal shades (£19.99). Or GAP’s gorgeous sweater dress (£29.95) in blues and greys.

Wiggle those stripes a bit, and create a graphic chevron stripe colour block style with H&M’s monochrome jersey vest (£7.99), or add a touch of green in H&M’s stripe shift dress (£14.99).

Louche @ JOY’s pink geometric graphic print dress (£27, was £55) is fantastically bright colour blocking graphic print style.

Colour blocking graphic prints - weekly wishlistColour block on the beach with New Look’s fab bikini (£7.99, bottoms, £14.99, top), and Evans @ BHS’s bright and comfy sandals (£15, were £28). BHS’s subtle pastel colour blocking bag is a perfect summer tote (£25).

Over at French Connection, there is a lot of colour blocking coming up this autumn. Their monochrome, asymmetric top (£75) is slightly sci-fi in style!  We adore their black and white overlay dress (£95) – perfect late summer slouchiness! And  their yellow, pink and black shift (£90) is colour blocking perfection.
