Olympic metallics

Are you a gold, silver or bronze? We’d all want to win gold in the Olympics, right? But which of the Olympic metallics would you prefer to wear? Gold, silver, or bronze.

Gorgeous gold is the winner in the Olympics, and maybe the winner in the Olympic metallics choice for you. Sparkles, sequins, metallic, patent, leather, and, well, more sparkle. We love gold. It looks fantastic on all skintones. It works in summer and winter, and it can look classy and uber-casual. Team with denim, more gold or browns to bring it out at the top of the podium, its rightful place.

Daytime Metallics

Metallics are not just for Christmas. Nor are they just for the evening. Get your silver and gold out, and give daytime metallics a try.

There’s nothing that will brighten up an outfit more than some daytime metallics – particularly on your feet! We love a pair of silver or gold trainers!

But we’re taking our daytime metallics way further than that – we wearing silver and gold skirts, sequinned tops, and more!

H&M’s gold sequinned jacket (£15, was £39.99) is a sale bargain that cries daytime metallics – it’s begging to be worn as a spring cover up.

H&M’s sliver pleated skirt is a gorgeous, fluid fabric for spring (£39.99). New Look’s bold, gold, beach bag (£tbc) is perfect also as a city shopper. And White Stuff’s almost pewter laser-cut bag (£29.95) is chic, and understated daytime metallics at their best.

Coast @ Debenhams’ gold print full midi skirt (£129) is show-stopping – perfect daytime metallics for a wedding, perhaps? BHS also have this understated print style, on a cute cropped top (£35). H&M’s silver splash vest (£12.99), would look fab with a pair of jeans.
