We wear sandals in the summer, and we wear sandals in the party season. Freezing temperatures do not deter us when it comes to festive party footwear. Party sandals are essential, right?
There are so many gorgeous, glittery, metallic, beautiful styles out there – party sandals for everyone. Whatever your festive party outfit, and unless it’s really heavy snow, party sandals are the only footwear you should be buying this December. And even then, take them with you – you cannot party in wellies or boots!
Metallics are massive at this time of year, particularly gold, the perfect Christmas colour. New Look’s knot front glittery platforms are a statement, but perhaps not quite as big a statement as H&M’s huge platforms, which are a 1970s/1990s throwback if we’ve ever seen one! We love them.
If gold is your colour choice for party sandals, but platforms aren’t then Schuh have really simple gold sandals (£50), or the more adventurous ankle-tie shiny metallic sandals (£55). And New Look’s gold and silver cage style sandals (£24.99) are party sandals perfection.
French Connection’s iridescent T-bar sandals are a more subtle metallic take (£110). But there is nothing subtle whatsoever about the knee-high hole sandals(£59.99) from H&M! These are the sandals Katy Perry can be seen sporting in the H&M Holidays advert.
New Look’s burgundy fringed sandals (£34.99) tick all the boxes for autumnal trends- berry shades and fringing.
Black party sandals are the perfect match for an LBD, or a bright colour palette, or a metallic. French Connection’s soft suede sandals have black gems embellishing front bar (£110). J by Jasper Conran’s multi bar sandals have an edge to them (£65, Debenhams), as do H&M’s mesh style sandals (£29.99).
Finally, Red Herring’s glitter heel platform sandals are a statement shoe in black (£35, Debenhams).
