In this little blog series, we’re going to take an Autumn Winter trend, and show you how to wear it – three ways. This week, the patterned trouser.
Being on trend is all very well, but getting more wear out of your on-trend piece is better. Its all about being clever with the pieces you buy, and seeing how they can be adapted for various occasions. This week, the patterned trouser – for lunch with the in-laws, a late night gig, and Sunday morning study time.
This is how we would style this slouchy patterned trouser from H&M (£14.99) for those three occasions. The patterned trouser has been with us for about two seasons now. It makes great transition from summer to winter, because it looks fantastic teamed with slouchy knits, big tees, and biker jackets. That’s how it was originally styled when it was first about back in the 1980s, after all! You don’t need to go all out with the patterned trouser print either – this simple print from H&M makes a subtle statement. If you want to be bolder, go for this season’s on-trend tartan
