Inspired by the glorious SS16 Gucci collection, it’s all about Geek Chic this spring. Prada and Miu Miu were at it too – taking the nerd look and hauling it into the fashion spotlight.
Think librarian gone a wee bit colour mad, nerds with attitude, and you get the idea. Geek chic is so much fashion fun, we are in love.
To really get this look spot on you have to combine and clash bold prints and colours, and then clash them again. But, it can be tamed down to be a little more everyday wearable, if clashing so strongly scares you a little.
Here are five fabulous geek chic looks for you to try. Let’s start with something a bit out there. Classic geeky looks need sensible shoes, nerdy knits, pussy bow blouses, prim skirts and the obligatory glasses. Play with colours and textures for a truly fun geek chic look.
