Festival fashion favourites

T in the Park is upon us for another year. Glastonbury has been and gone, but Scotland’s biggest festival is still to come, and the question that’s always there is on our lips again – what will our festival fashion favourites be?

It’s easy to fall into that festival fashion favourites uniform of short shorts, top, hat, various bits of jewellery and obligatory wellies. And to be honest, we say ‘why not?’. If there’s one place you can get away with short shorts and wellies it’s a festival field!

Mix it up a little bit with white shorts, add a bright top, a long-line sleeveless cardigan gives 1970s festival style vibe, and a 1970s inspired cheesecloth peasant top will protect you from the sun, should it come out! Or go bright and bold with floral prints, culottes, and matching tops and bottoms! Some of our top festival fashion favourites!

Accessories are another festival fashion favourites. Pick up bits and bobs as you go, but start with a few basics. Long beaded necklaces, bright and bold sunglasses, fringing, a hat of course, and pay homage to the original festival vibe of peace and love with some peace sign stud earrings!

Festival fashion favourites for your feet?! Wellies!! Those toilets, the fields, the mess – urgh, we don’t want our feet touching any of it! But wellies are so boring, right? Er, wrong. Try prints or details like fringes. Ankle boots will also work. Fringes are everywhere this season, so embrace them on bags in particular. Glam up a backpack by choosing a sequin version. Or go for this season’s musthave bucket bag in an Aztec print. Perfect festival fashion favourites.

It doesn’t have to be shorts and a top for festivals – a playsuit is the perfect alternative. But a loose, pretty dress wins every  time for us, hands down. A festival dress is one of our musthave festival fashion favourites. Choose from a feminine lacy style, to a more pared-down T-shirt style in a block colour or monochrome stripes.

Weekly Wishlist – Festival Fun

We all love fashion, and we all love a wishlist – so here’s a weekly wishlist with a few of our favourite fashion picks. We’ll be doing this for the next few weeks, so make sure you pop in each week if you want to see what’s on our summer weekly wishlist.

This week we’re going for a festival fun theme, with T in the Park this weekend. What do you wear to festivals? We blogged about this just last month before Glastonbury. But what would our wishlist contain for this weekend?

First up is rainwear – just in case! It is Scotland after all. We love this fun Unicorn poncho from JOY (£5) – what’s not to love? If you don’t love the fun Unicorn, then there’s a more grown-up hooded coat we’re loving on offer at H&M (£29.99), which has sleeves than can be tabbed up if you want them shorter.

festival fun weekly wishlistA festival wouldn’t be a festival without wellies and denim shorts, would it? There’s no festival fun without a bit of mud! Just make sure you have these wellies handy. They’re from Red Herring @ Debenhams (£25) and are covered in a fun cherry print.  Denim shorts are a festival staple -this pair from H&M (£19.99) are perfect.

festival fun weekly wishlist four

Unleash your inner hippy in a printed maxi dress. This printed one from French Connection is on our festival fun wishlist because it’s gorgeous, has that 1970s vibe, and is reduced from £140 to £42!  Add this year’s fashion musthave – a kimono. This one from New Look (£69.99) is beautifully embellished.

New Look’s cute denim bralet with a daisy print (£17.99) is so much nicer than a bikini or a bra! This week we are coveting round sunglasses in classic tortoisehell print (£4.99, New Look)

festival fun weekly wishlist twoGAP’s cross-body bag (£34.95) is perfect for keeping your essentials and valuables with you at a festival. Oh, and finally, it’s that rain again. How about one of these retro-inspired plasic bonnets from JOY (£5 for pack of two)? Cover your hair in a downpour in leopard print, or swallow print. We love these!

Please note that we always endeavour to feature items that are available in Ocean Terminal, however sometimes items featured may be out of stock, and prices may vary due to seasonal reduction
