The Limited Edition store in the centre has a couple of events on in the next few days featuring two of its designers – knitwear brand Eribe, and screen-printed style, Abetwix.
Steph, founder and designer at Abetwix, originally from the borders, and now based in Edinburgh will be in store from 4pm to 6pm and is happy to discuss the screen printing process of her unique designs.
Her fantastic hand-drawn designs can be found on sweatshirts and T-shirts, available to buy in the store. If you want to find out more, get along and meet Steph. And read this blog post we wrote about Abetwix last month.
Then, on Saturday, between 11am and 3.30pm knitwear brand Eribe will be there for a Yarn Forward workshop. This creative hand-knitting workshop sounds like it’s going to be heaps of fun. Learn a new skill, discover Scotland’s knitting history, and, of course, shop the gorgeous Eribe knitwear available in the Limited Edition store. The workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities, and materials will be provided. But, feel free to bring along your own knitting projects as well.
If you’re not a confident knitter, don’t worry – maybe some pom-pom making would be fun, or some finger knitting?!
Eribe are a bright and colourful ‘cottage industry gone mad’ – their own words! Based in the Scottish borders, they are a knitwear design house and manufacturer and considered one of the largest hand-knitting companies in Europe.
The Eribe team are world-renowned experts in hand-knitting and are committed to keeping the craft alive through their collections and public workshops.
