There’s no escaping dungarees this spring/summer, they’re everywhere. So, if you want to be on-trend, you need to get onboard with this latest fashion moment, and get yourself some dungarees.
But how do you wear them? Our guide shows you dungarees three ways – three ways to wear your overalls.
We’ve chosen a simple pair of turn-up denim dungarees from H&M (£29.99), and styled them up for three occasions – park life, lunch date, and night out.
Dungarees might seem like a casual item in your wardtobe, but fressed up they can take you on a night out or a sophisticaed lunch date or meeting.
We’ll start with our Park Life look – the most casual of our dungarees three ways outfits. Walking the dog, off for a stroll, or a wander, you will soon realise that your cosy dunagrees are stylish, comforable and keep you warm – no cold will get near your midriff in dungys!
For a stroll in the park, team your dungarees with a cosy sweater in a lovely fresh spring lemon (£15, BHS), a waterproof raincoat (£60, JOY) – beware of those April showers, some comfy pumps in a bright colour; these Converse are fab, (£45, Schuh), and a cross-body bag (£49, J by Jasper Conran @ Debenhams) for ease.
Dress those dungarees up for a lunch date or a meeting. Bring out the sophistication with this, the most classic of our dungarees three ways looks. Keep the colour palette in muted tones and pastels, and team them with a classic white shirt (£14.99, H&M), a cute pastel blazer (£24.99, H&M), some low-heeled muted shoes (£39.99, New Look), a sturdy shopper to keep your essentials in (£29.99, H&M), and a simple pair of earrings (£2.99, New Look).
Dungarees looks great on a night out. For the final dungarees three ways look, we’ve teamed our dungys with a glittery crop top (£19.99, H&M), which will look fab peeking out from under then. We’ve added some killer heels in gorgeous grey suede (£65, Schuh), a leather-look bicker jacket (£32.99, New Look) for attitude, and a cute clutch with a message (£4.50, Claire’s)!
