Denim rules. It always has done. Ever siince James Dean donned a pair of 501 jeans in 1955’s teen movie, Rebel Without A Cause, denim has been the coolest fabric of choice.
(If you have never seen James Dean in a pair of jeans, go Google him now!)
But denim, and denim rules, have moved on a lot since 1955. With the invention of lycra, denim has become more flexible, more wearable, and more loved. Do you know anyone that doesn’t think denim rules?
The SS15 catwalks were awash with denim – the fabric of the season. This is not just about a new pair of jeans, oh, no, no. This is about embracing all that is glorious about denim and wearing it any which way you can. Trousers, culottes, skirts, dresses, dungarees, shorts, and accessories.
Denim rules everything this year. The coolest way to wear it? Loose, baggy, and in different shades. Double denim is cool, okay? Wide leg culottes or jeans, teamed with voluminous shirt dresses? Absolutely!
