This Friday (September 25) is the Macmillan Cancer Support World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for 2015. Marks and Spencer are the retail partner and will once again be hosting coffee mornings in their stores, and this year they’re even more special, as it’s the 25th anniversary of the initiative.
So, get down to Ocean Terminal M&S and join in the fun, and maybe buy a few of the special Macmillan Coffee Mornings products onsale. Who can resist a Colin the Caterpillar Cake? Buying any of the tasty Macmillan treats will see 10% of the sale price going to Macmillan.
M&S also have a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 25th Anniversary Biscuit Tin for sale, which we love the look of.
There are two bespoke Coffee Morning badges designed by British designer Sophie Conran, for a suggested donation of £2, and each features a coffee morning recipe from Sophie.
Now, if you are having a coffee morning, or evening (coffee cocktails, anyone?) of your own to help Macmillan, why not make it even more fun with a ‘coffee-coloured’ dress code?
Here’s a few suggestions to help you and your coffee morning guests get in the mood. Think caramel lattes, rich cappuccinos, flat whites, and long Americanos with just a splash. Or Espresso Martinis?! So, think browns, beiges, camels, and, well, coffee shades of course!

Chloe Gallagher, Senior Partnership Manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “It is a sad fact that one in three of us will get cancer in our lifetime, and it is the toughest fight most of us will ever face.
“The support Macmillan receives from M&S is vital in enabling us to continue to support people affected by cancer, so that no one has to face cancer alone. Celebrating the 25th birthday of coffee morning makes this year extra special for all involved and we hope that lots of people across the nation will join us to help make this year’s event the biggest and best ever.”
