Clinique have just launched their newly reformulated Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + (DDML). Part of Clinique’s famous 3-step system, the lotion has three new ingredients, in a reformulation that has taken the boffins at Clinique six years to perfect.
The result is a better version of their best-selling moisturiser, which, incidentally, was originally called Yellow Moisturizing Lotion, until customers started to talk of its ‘dramatically different’ texture. It was launched in 1968 and one bottle sells every 4.87 seconds around the world!
The new formula contains hyaluronic acid, glycerin and urea – all known for moisturising properties, as well as a new barrier-strengthening complex.
“DDML stands alone – it’s over 40 years old and in that time the formula has never changed. It’s a cornerstone of the brand and for that reason we wanted to ensure it had the optimum efficacy we could provide,” explains Dr. David Orentreich, Clinique’s guiding dermatologist. “It was designed for the 1968 environment, but patients I see now have different skin complaints due to changes in the environment. We wanted to respond to that.”
If you are a fan of Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion already, you will love DDML+. This now replaces the original, but the gel version, for oiler and combination skins is still available.
It comes in three sizes, from £17 and is available at Clinique at Debenhams, now.
