The whole world of celebrity is in Cannes just now it seems, for the Cannes film festival. Even Cheryl Cole’s there…
The French Riviera is synonymous with chic, laid back, sophisticated style. Think Brigitte Bardot and her striped Breton tops, Jackie O and those huge sunglasses, and you’re getting the idea.
It’s a very easy look to recreate here in the Scottish, ahem, Riviera. The palette is simple – think black, blue, red, white and cream, stripes, and a bit of gold thrown in for good luck.
The ‘Riviera chic’ look can be worn day and night – shorts and t-shirts during the day, dresses when the sun goes down, and huge sunglasses at every hour!
Simple shorts, a striped t-shirt, a floppy hat, big glasses and some deck shoes. Brigitte Bardot would love this look.
A simple white suit, with a string of pearls and bold accessories is perfect Riviera chic.
Simple capri pants or ankle grazing jeans are the perfect way to define this look, teamed with flat pumps, or high wedge heels.
