September Beauty Launches – Clinique, Lancome & more

September sees lots of new beauty launches, some of them huge for the brands involved. The first of our September beauty launches comes from Lancome, who introduce a new serum targeting hyperpigmentation/dark spots in a totally new way.

DreamTone comes in three formulas – 1,2 and 3 – each one suited to a different skintone. It’s the result of years of scientific research and works on the principle that different skintones will have different dark-spot types and triggers. Sounds simple really when you put it like that, but it is an innovative product. DreamTone 1, 2 or 3 is available from September at Lancome counters, priced £69 for 40ml. Clinique have a few September beauty launches, but we’ll concentrate on their latest serum. They developed Repairwear Laser Focus Serum a few years ago to address fine lines and wrinkles. They have now added more innovative technology to it, and created the new version which they have called Repairwear Laser Focus, Smooths, Restores, Corrects.

Doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, and uses the American spelling of Smooths, but it contains a whole host of new ingredients to make it even better than before, including hyaluronic acid. This is  every beauty company’s favourite ingredient right now (it moisturises and helps with the collagen production in our skin, what’s not to love?).

This serum contains a mild salicylic acid, so is in part exfoliating – getting rid of old skin cells, and helping to replenish with new. It’s for all ages, all skintypes, and comes in different sizes, from 30ml-100ml, prices from £40 to £89. Available at Clinique counters, and clinique.co.uk

Estee Lauder relaunched their revolutionary Advanced Night Repair serum last month, but their September beauty launches turn to fragrance, with the biggest launch for the brand in years. Modern Muse is it’s name, Arizona Muse is the face of it in the campaign shots, and it’s use of two accords – Sparkling Jasmine and Sleek Woods – is interesting.

Smell them independently and they are massively different; blend them together into Modern Muse, and you can’t distinguish them. They mix beautifully to create a fresh, modern scent, with a bit of life about it.

The jasmine accord combines two extractions of Jasmine Sambac with mandarin, honeysuckle and other florals; the sleek woods is a blend of two Patchouli essences, vanilla, Amber wood and soft musk. The bottle is sleek and modern – pink glass, and a navy bow – the Lauder colour – and a modern take on the bow on Lauder’s first fragrance, the classic Youth Dew, from 1953. BeneFit launch into September quite quietly, having had their huge Stay Flawless Primer launch in the summer. They introduce another blusher to their range.

September beauty launches rockateur benefit
