Everyone talks about leaves at this time of the year, and yeah, don’t they look all gorgeous in those lovely colours! Those browns, oranges and yellows, ooh, and reds. But hey, let’s big it up for some autumn florals, right?
Yeah, autumn isn’t the best time for flowers, but autumn florals patterns are just everywhere this season and they are the perfect pattern for your 1970s inspired look.
So, how to wear them. All over in a dress works brilliantly. This bold and bright cotton trimmed tunic-top style dress from BHS (£22) is just autumn perfection!
But, we also love this bright orange and yellow print swing dress from BHS (£26).
New Look’s big, bold, autumn florals print shirt dress (£24.99) has that perfect wallpaper print feel to it, that is so on trend this season.
This bell sleeve, pussy-bow midi dress from Edition by Preen @ Debenhams (£75) is the only thing you need this autumn for perfect 1970s inspired style. Add boots, a gilet and a hat, and you are back in time!
Back at BHS, this Petite orange and black wrap front dress (£30) is more leaves than florals, but we still love it.
These New Look floral print shorts (£14.99) are the cutest we’ve seen this season. Perfect with a black polo neck and a pair of ankle boots.
Also at New Look, this more muted, autumn florals print skirt (£19.99) would work brilliantly for work with a shirt and jacket.
H&M’s wide legged trousers (£24.99) are bang on trend, and not for the faint-hearted. These are statement trousers, if we ever saw them!
Our very favourite piece in this post is this beautiful high necked, smock top from Conscious @ H&M (£24.99) with the loveliest of subtle autumn florals print to it.
Finally, French Connection’s flared little dress (£65) has a subtle dark maroon autumn florals print on it, perfect for buying into this trend, but not shouting about it.
