Is it too early to talk about a winter coat? We think not. So, here’s our winter coat edit. We’re calling it an edit, because it’s just that. Just a few of the literally dozens and dozens of coats that will hit the stores throughout the winter.
This winter coat edit showcases a few that are on the racks already, if you fancy a look.
When it comes to style this season, our winter coat edit has it all, because that’s essentially what’s happening this season. Whilst the 1970s rule the fashion trends this season, with a coat, anything and everything goes.
From fake fur, to fur collared, to belted, to cocoon, to sleek, to fitted, Princess to Crombie-style, really, all coats are covered!
We love a belted coat in winter, and these are two of our faves in our winter coat edit. From BHS, a lovely classic purple belted number (£60), and from H&M, a beautifully masculine long-length navy belted huge roomy coat (£79.99).
Fur collars are a big 1970s nod in the winter coat edit. They’re also very, very cosy. We love them on a rusty Red Herring @ Debenhams coat (£59) and French Connection’s beautiful long black coat (£180).
If you fancy something different – and again there’s a 1970s nod here – then try a cape. French Connection’s long-line cape is to die for (£210) and JOY’s paisley lined navy coat is perfect for autumn (£100).
Feel like being bold, black and white and slouchy? We’ve got that covered in our winter coat edit too. Choose from a heavily 1980s inspired edge to edge coat from Betty Jackson Black @ Debenhams (£75) or a lovely belted duster coat from H&M (£99.99)
Finally, for now, in our winter coat edit, neutrals. A beautiful neutral cocoon coat from French Connection (£210), and simple neutral camel drape trench coat for the autumn/winter transitional period from New Look (£39.99).
That’s our winter coat edit for now, but look out for plenty more over the coming months!
