Romantic heroine?

It’s hard to imagine floating about in billowing chiffon, and lace when the weather outside is pouring rain and blowing a hoolie. But we think the romantic heroine look is adaptable.

Wuthering Heights’ Cathy was out on the Yorkshire moors was she not? And we bet that wasn’t warm! So, channel your inner Cathy, and search for your Heathcliff in this spring trend that is going to be huge.

The romantic heroine look means white, pastels, chiffon, lace, pretty florals, and flouncy, floaty styles. Ruffles, trims, that sort of thing.

But it doesn’t have to be ALL of those things. You can just take litlte bits of this look and work it that way, if that suits your style.

One way to easily buy into this trend is with a simple white or cream top. As long as features chiffon, or lace, or has a Victoriana feel to it, you are romantic heroine sorted!

Romantic heroine doesn’t just mean white or bog-standard pastels though. Grey works so well in this trend. Choose greys, mixed with whites and pale blues for a gorgeous sultry, cool palette. And add a  bit of sequin sparkle for fun.
