Rain, rain, go away…GO AWAY! Gosh, this summer has been a wash-out! It looks like the rain is, sadly, here to stay, so, what’s that old saying? If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. So, here’s some rainy day style!
Rainy day style is achievable. Yes, we know, soaking wet clothes, frizzy hair, inside-out umbrella – not very stylish are they?
But if you want rainy day style, in the summer, then take a few tips from us. First off, don’t think just because it’s raining, you have to drop your style game. Oh, no, no, no! Everyone knows how stylish a mac is, right? H&M’s nude mac is probably not going to keep your dry, fair enough, but it is a gorgeous trenchcoat, agreed?
Team with with some black leather ankle boots (£59.99, H&M) to keep your feet dry, a black leather skirt (any rain will just wash off this), £269, French Connection, and a gorgeous red wool hat (£24.99, H&M) and there’s your rainy day style!
An umbrella is always a good idea – unless it’s windy. JOY’s white polka dot brolly (£12) is bright and fun, and if you have kids in tow, keep them happy with cute fun brollies like this dino-style one at H&M (£3.99).
French Connection’s fab, fun lace detail raincoat (£112.50, was £225) will make the rain seem fun – almost!
JOY’s duffle coat in bright, bold, blue is brilliant rainy day style – you might even be happy it’s raining if you have this to wear. Okay, maybe we’ve taken that too far. Team it with jeans, and Schuh’s exclusive mint green short Hunter wellies (£75).
Finally, to make sure you have rainy day style the minute the heaven’s open, carry your rainy day accessories around with you, in a big leather tote bag, like this blue one from White Stuff (£45).
Rainy day style, sorted!
