New boots – Weekly Wishlist

Everyone’s got ankle boots, right? They’re so versatile, so easy to sling on with skirts, jeans, and even dresses. You can wear them to work, to play and out at night.

But, sometimes, we want a bit more from our boots. We want something out-there. Something a wee bit risque. A statement pair of boots. New boots that are a bit different.

And that’s where knee-highs, and even better, thigh-highs (or over-the-knee) come in. There is always room in your shoe wardrobe for one pair of bonkers new boots.

Red or Dead’s burgundy knee-highs with glitter detail (£150, exclusive to Schuh) are brilliantly bonkers, and quite festive. Thigh highs can get caught in that panto principle boy role, so just be careful what you wear them with. And greys and other shades are probably better than black. Choose form grey over the knee suede boots with ties at the back from Schuh (£75), or New Look’s pull-on thigh highs in a similar shade (£44.99).

Also at Schuh, you will definitely make a statement in their tan fringed knee highs (£110).

knee and thigh high boots weekly wishlistH&M’s blue velvet platform thigh highs are a boot to behold (£39.99), but they also have a more classic black pair with a stiletto heel, if they are more your thing (£39.99).

Burgundy platform knee highs (£29.99) at H&M are perfect new boots if you are embracing the 1970s trend. If pure comfort is more your thing, then maybe these quilted Hunter wellies from Schuh (£135) will be on your shopping list?

Or White Stuff’s suede fur-lined boots from White Stuff (£95) – how cosy do they look?

French Connection has some gorgeous high-heeled burgundy knee highs (£195), or flat knee high black leather boots (£195)  – which would be your new boots of choice?

Finally, we love New Look’s 1960s-inspired patent knee high boots. (£37.99).
