Neon is a big trend this summer, and you might be a little scared of it. It seems to have been hijacked by the hen party movement, who love nothing more than a neon tutu and matching fishnets.
And, for those of us old enough to remember, it’s a trend that the 1980s loved. But, if you approach it properly, anyone can wear the neon trend. It’s all about how you do it.
You can embrace the neon trend fully, or just give a little nod to it, with subtle neon references. Let’s start there, with neon lined lace dresses, print dresses with flashes of neon, shoes with neon trims, or deeper neon shades.

The neon trend works well in the summer – think neon shorts, light jackets, and in jewellery and accessories. If you aren’t feeling brave enough for the whole trend, but want a bit of bright, earrings or a watch might work perfectly.
But, if you are ready to embrace the neon trend fully, then choose your colours carefully, and add a hint of fluro/neon brightness to your day!
