New Look AW16

Yeah, we know, we’ve had a few sunny days and here we are, talking about autumn/winter fashion. But fashion is like that – it doesn’t stand still for anyone, or anything, and if you want to be on-trend, or set the trend, then you need to know in advance what to buy and wear.

We’re taking a sneak peek at New Look AW16 styles – some of these are in store soon, so you can get in and buy up early. And let’s face it, in our climate, most likely wear early too. #silverlining

THe New Look AW16 collection is a mix of various trends that have worked their way down from the catwalks.

We’re still seeing the 1970s, in rust and orange tones, ruffles and shapes, but we are also seeing the 1990s in lux sportswear, laid back styles, and the 1980s in lace and frills. It’s a veritable mish-mash of decades.

It’s the super-stylish Seventies in this image – gorgeos rust ruffle top (£12.99) and print scarf (£5.99).

And you can also channel the 1970s in this colour block dress (£24.99)

Father’s Day Fashion

It’s Father’s Day on Sunday so time to treat the most special man in your life. With fashion. Yep, it’s time to drag dad screaming to the shops, or, preferably, take the shops to him with some Father’s Day Fashion.

We’re here to help with your dad’s disastrous style, with a few ideas for father’s day fashion outfits for all occasions. So, no matter what you do with your dad, or your dad does this weekend, it’s getting done in style!

Maybe Father’s Day means a Sunday stroll, but dad, please, what are you wearing? This is no time for that old fleece and those joggers, okay?

Father’s Day fashion dictates that you need to step it up. So, if you want to help your dad, then maybe gift him something like HYMN @ JOY’s fantastic blue raincoat (it’s an investment, trust us!) which is a fab sale bargain, at £48, down from £88.

New jeans never go amiss. This simple style is from French Connection (£70). Add some fun to dad’s dismal wardrobe with an ice-cream print jumper (£25, was £50).

Even a new pair of socks will brighten dad’s wardrobe – and day. This fab polka dot pair is from White Stuff (£6). Adidas Gazelles complete the look (£75, Schuh).

If Father’s Day means lunch out, then don’t let dad’s father’s day fashion let the side down. Get him sorted! If it’s a pub lunch, then this fun beer print T-shirt from White Stuff (£25) is a great gift idea.

Drop the jeans for lunch, and instead get dad into a smart pair of chinos (£40, Hammond & Co @ Debenhams). Add a lightweight summer blazer (£85, HYMN @ JOY). Or maybe a bomber jacket (£39.99, New Look) is more your father’s day fashion ideal item?

A simple check shirt is a great gift idea – short sleeves for summer on this one from White Stuff (£39.95) is perfect.

Simple shoes that dad might not look at, but we just know are on-trend from White Stuff (£35), complete the look. Now lunch!

Maybe dad’s off for a dinner date soon – so make sure he’s got his look right by perhaps steering him in the right direction with this Father’s Day Fashion.

Gift him at least one item to get him started, yeah? New Look’s light grey suit is super cute (trousers, £24.99, jacket, £59.99). Team it with a bold shirt.

Maybe big checks (£22, Red Herring @ Debenhams), or a pretty print (£24, Collection @ Debenhams).

Shoes are important. Black ‘smart’ shoes like these from Schuh, £55, are an essential in a man’s wardrobe. But maybe mix it up a bit with these Bass moccasins, dad? (£125, Schuh).

Dad off on holiday soon? The last thing you want is him showing you up on the promenade with his ‘Kiss Me Quick’ hat, and hilariously unfunny slogan T-shirt.

You have the power to sort it! These board shorts from JOY (£45) will make him stand out at the pool or beach – but for the right reasons. A bold ‘holiday shirt’ is allowed. This one from H&M (£9.99) is a perfect gift for dad.

Or maybe these wood-trimmed sunnies (£6.99, H&M). Shorts are holiday essentials, and these printed shorts are fun, but not too in your face (£39.95, White Stuff). A striped T-shirt (£4.99, New Look) is a summer essential and a fab present for dad.

A holiday needs a hat. Dad would look great in this straw trilby (£19.95, White Stuff). These UGG Australia sandals are another essential (£55, Schuh), and a sensible, yet super stylish backpack (£75, French Connection) to put all his essentials in completes dad’s look.
